"No Greater Duty"
A motto that reflects the Guard's mission to preserve the traditions and honor of the United States fire service, the Broomall Fire Company Honor Guard was officially created in 2002 to act as the organization's formal ceremonial unit. In addition to their normal duties as fire fighters, all members of the Guard train twice each month in military drill, flag protocols, parade color guard drill and funeral ceremonies. Since its creation, the Guard has performed in over 30 events from New York City to Washington, DC to Great Britain and has appeared for such dignitaries as Vice President Dick Cheney, numerous members of Congress including PA Representative Curt Weldon, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania and the chief administrator of the United States Fire Administration. The Guard has also marched under the colors of England and Norway in addition to the United States and was recently honored to carry the colors of the New York City Fire Department.
